We work with fresh produce, which is why the menu of our Paris restaurant gets a makeover every season. In fact, being able to sublimate seasonal ingredients is one of our core values at Café de l’Homme. French gastronomy is recognized the world over, offering us a rich terroir and incredible flavors. We owe it to ourselves to honor and pamper it under the watchful eye of our sublime Eiffel Tower.

Our restaurant full of history

Like Musée de l’Homme, where our Paris restaurant overlooks the Eiffel Tower, Café de l’Homme has a rich history. It is located in the Passy wing of the Palais Chaillot, a historic monument designed over 80 years ago for the 1937 Universal Exhibition.

In its early years, the building housed the United Nations and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was voted here on December 10, 1948!

The origins of Café de l’Homme:

Our Parisian restaurant was founded by Coco Coupérie-Eiffel (great-great-granddaughter of Gustave Eiffel) and Christophe Bonnat. Together, they embarked on the adventure to make the most of their experience, in the restaurant business for her, and in the hotel business for him.

Passionate about French culture and know-how in the culinary and wine-making fields, they took the daring gamble of highlighting French traditions, surrounded by a team of exceptional professionals.

A unique and majestic setting:

In 2004, Café de l’Homme opened its doors to the delight of Parisians and the capital’s many tourists. Seven years later, it modernized its dining room with a décor designed by architects Gilles & Boissier. The sophisticated decor reflects French art de vivre and the charm of the 1930s.

Café de l’Homme is a grandiose place where mineral meets vegetable. As far as the eye can see, walls of cedar wood, six meters high under the ceiling, are set against elegant marble tables. This majestic 550m² surface area also features banquettes delineating intimate, convivial spaces. Not forgetting the 300m² terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower.
